The BrightPath Foundation brought the TechLink initiative to over 30 young participants in Barbados on the 21st of June 2014. The initiative comprised two simultaneous workshops: Introduction to Mobile App Development and Digital Photography, conducted by Executive facilitators Stephen Lee, Mark Headley, and Juma Bannister.
Timothy Walker, one of the mobile app workshop participants, reflected on the impact of his eye-opening experience saying, “I came in not knowing what to expect and after opening statements, I knew that I was in for a new phase of internet possibilities.”
BrightPath’s TechLink ultimately aims to empower its participants to understand their potential as content providers. TechLink is geared toward individuals of all ages: youth, parents, small business owners, and the elderly alike. No demographic is exempt from the benefits this programme offers.
